Heal Thy Sleep

Posted by Romy Lawson on

We know there will have been lots of sleep lost over the last few months. And by the looks of Instagram & TikTok, a pretty dramatic increase in the amount of alcohol and coffee we are consuming. Lots of spare time, increased access while staying at home and both could be seen as coping mechanisms while navigating this chaotic time.  With approximately 1/3 of our lives spent asleep, the importance of adequate snoozing in our overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing can’t be understated. But if you have been struggling to get to sleep or fall asleep, it might be worth...

Heal Thy Immune System

Far out! 2020, hey? Anyone else feel like it’s been the longest year ever…and we’re only in April. So of course, we are in a pretty crazy and overwhelming time at the moment. There is just so much that is out of our control, which can leave us feel so powerless. Internal (hormones such as cortisol & oestrogen) and external toxins (alcohol, drugs, environmental pollutants, pesticides etc.), are sent into the liver where they can be packaged up and eliminated. There are two liver detoxification phases: This is where toxic molecules enter the...

Heal Thy Skin

Well it certainly doesn’t feel like it, but it's Summer baby!  Considering the rising temps and strength of the Australian UVR (ultraviolet radiation) #ATTNScottMorrison, our blog is getting serious about suncare by looking at what you put in your mouth and what you put on your skin. Your skin has a high cell turnover. The cells in your epidermis (upper layers of skin) are constantly shed and replaced. The dermis (the lower layer of the skin) contains your sweat glands, hair follicles and blood capillaries. When we head out for the day and we come into contact with the sun, we’re being...
